Hoshizaki Ice Types & Applications

Crescent Ice

  • KM machines produce clear crescent shaped ice
  • Crescent ice packs together tightly in the bin, achieving maximum storage capacity
  • The crescent shape allows liquid, from both bottles and dispensers, to flow over it more easily preventing messy splashing
  • The displacement means less beverage is needed to fill the glass

Cube Ice

  • IM machines produce exceptionally hard, crystal clear ice cubes
  • The ice melts very slowly, allowing customers to enjoy their cooled drinks longer
  • The traditional shaped cube ice is close to 100% purity, with less cracks, dimples and thick edges
  • Cube ice is suitable for bars, restaurants, cafes and hotels

Flake Ice

  • FM machines produce premium dry flake ice consisting of 70% ice and 30% water
  • Flake ice is used primary for cooling purposes, such as food preservation
  • Hoshizaki flake ice is compressed during production producing long lasting ice
  • Flake ice moulds to any shape for convenient use in salad bars, produce, seafood and meat displays
