The origins of Countax date back to 1984 when the business was founded to make accessories for a manufacturer in the tractor mower market.

 

In 1990 Countax saw an opportunity to become a manufacturer of their own range of garden tractors. With only 6 weeks to produce a machine for a major industry trade show, Countax staff worked round the clock to develop a prototype. It was made with only hours to spare.

 

The launch was successful and Countax soon had orders for over 1000 tractors. This was the start of their innovative approach to a new type of garden tractor.

 

The winning formula of ease of use, strength and durability rapidly established Countax as market leader in the UK, a position still maintained today.

 

Countax garden tractors are sold only through specialist Countax dealers throughout the UK and in 26 other countries.
